What the labels on this page mean.
- Elimination period
- The number of days you pay for care yourself before the policy starts paying — 90 days here, roughly 3 months.
- Select rate class
- Mutual of Omaha's underwriting tier for applicants in better-than-average health. A different tier changes every price on this page.
- Monthly maximum benefit
- The most the policy will reimburse per month of covered care, regardless of what care actually costs.
- Benefit pool
- Monthly maximum × benefit period — the total dollars the policy can pay out over the life of a claim.
- 3% compound inflation protection
- Grows the monthly maximum by 3% every year, compounding, whether or not a claim has started yet.
- Partnership qualified
- An Alabama Medicaid asset-protection status tied to owning inflation protection at these ages; it shields assets equal to benefits paid if the client later needs Medicaid.
- Quoted / Scaled / Estimated / Borrowed
- See "Confidence markers" in the left-hand panel — these track how directly each number on the page traces back to an actual proposal.
This tool derives figures from proposals dated 09/21/2026. Proposals are not offers, premiums are subject to underwriting and future rate increases, and every figure should be confirmed in Mutual of Omaha's rater before it goes to a client. Partnership status is shown as it appeared on the proposals; confirm current Alabama rules. Not tax, legal or investment advice.
